Information for Alumni

Welcome and congratulations on graduating from Salve Regina University!
As an alum, you may continue to use McKillop Library as a study space during all operating hours and to borrow circulating materials.

Alumni Library Card

If you would like to borrow books and DVDs from McKillop Library’s circulating collections, please register for an alumni library card at the Circulation Desk located inside the main entrance. Books may be borrowed for one month, DVDs may be borrowed for one week, and both may be renewed for additional time.

Your alumni library card does not allow you access to our HELIN partner libraries or their collections and cannot be used to request material through interlibrary loan. Alumni should contact their local public library to explore outside borrowing options.

On-Campus Research Access

You may visit McKillop Library and either use your own computer or use a library computer to access our  research databases(Please ask a library staff member for assistance signing onto a library computer)

Off-Campus Research Access Unfortunately we are unable to provide off-campus database access to alumni but there are a number of free databases provided by The State of RI and the U.S. Government to assist with your ongoing research efforts.   (*Note: you must be using a computer located in the state of Rhode Island to access databases provided by the state)

Salve Regina University's online repository,
Digital Commons @ Salve Regina contains digitized copies of scholarly papers, theses, dissertations, and collections that may be access from on and off campus.

Printing in the Library
Printing as an alum will require you to purchase a print pass from the kiosk on the 1st floor.  The kiosk only accepts U.S. currency bills and does not return change.  Printing costs $0.10 per black and white page and $0.25 per color page.  Print passes are valid for one year from the date of purchase.

Please contact the Circulation Department at (401) 341-2291 if you have additional questions.
