This is very important!

Pay attention!

  • Plagiarism is a punishable offense at your institution.

  • Copyright and intellectual property infringement are punishable under the law.

Every research paper must include complete and accurate citations for all sources you use. These citations serve three purposes:

  • to enable anyone reading your paper to easily locate your sources,
  • to ensure that words and ideas taken from your sources are not assumed to be original with you, and
  • to ensure that academic honesty is maintained so authors are recognized for the work they've done.
