Why use periodicals?

  • To find the most current information on a topic
  • To find information on a narrower topic

Periodicals are the best source to use to locate current, reliable information on just about any topic. In academic fields, periodicals are the major publication channel for reporting research findings and will be a "must" resource for any in-depth research project
