Authority

• Can you identify the author/sponsor?

• Is there contact information provided?

• What are the qualifications or credentials of the author/sponsor?  What is the institutional affiliation?

• Is copyright clearly stated where applicable? 

Knowing the domain you are in can help a lot in identifying the authority of a source as well as potential biases.
