    This site, authored by the Smithsonian Institute, lists resources and exhibitions on topics relevant to African American Studies.

  • Our Shared History - African American Heritage
    A website published by the National Parks Service, this resource contains information on the Underground Railroad, sites of particular importance to African American History as well as online publications.

  • Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture
    "The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture is a national research library devoted to collecting, preserving and providing access to resources documenting the history and experiences of peoples of African descent throughout the world." The site contains a digitized collection of photos, archives and manuscripts.

  • W.E.B. Du Bois Institute for African and African American Research
    The W.E.B. Du Bois Institute, is a project of Harvard University. The website contains links to current research projects which include databases of information on African and African American Studies, not available elsewhere.
