For those interested in research, this site is an excellent source of East Asian library collections, journals, institutes and other resources. Aspects of art, history, culture, religion, and medicine are covered and bibliographies provided. There are wonderful links to studies in Buddhism, Shamanism and Taoism, links to countries such as Cambodia, Malaysia and Israel, and links to other virtual libraries like the Middle East, North Korea, and Macau.

Association for Asian American Studies
This site, originating from Cornell University, was designed to increase the communication and scholarly exchange between teachers, researchers and students in Asian American studies. In order to provide information on the history and aspirations of Asian Americans, this site offers links to research institutes, programs, and libraries as well as lists of the best Asian American historical and cultural texts.
East Asia International Forum
This on-line journal provides an international forum for the discussion of issues concerning the peoples and cultures of East Asia. This site includes a link to the Council on East Asian libraries which offers guides to research on East Asia. Researchers can access full-text articles covering East Asian philosophy, culture, politics, economics and education.
