Specimen Trees of Newport & Salve Regina University
In recognition of the newly established Newport Arboretum, the first city-wide arboretum in New England, the library is featuring archival material on Salve's specimen trees. Also on view is a sampling of the 1985 Salve Tree Survey Project, miscellaneous photographs, as well as books from the library's collection.
Along with the display is information on the Newport Tree Society's Arboretum which includes posters and various walking tree maps of the city. These fold out pocket maps are available for purchase at the Circulation Desk.
This exhibit is installed in the library's foyer.
