  • BORROWING PRIVILEGES

    Borrowing privileges are extended for Salve Regina Students, Faculty, Alumni, Staff, and Friends of the Library. A valid Salve Regina Identification Card is necessary to borrow materials; however, anyone may use library materials within the library.

    Salve Regina University students may use their regular student ID to borrow library materials.

    All alumni and teachers within the Aquidneck Island Partnership may apply for a library card at the Circulation Desk.

    Membership in the FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY is open to all for an annual fee. Inquire at the Circulation Desk for more information.

    At this time there are no reciprocal borrowing privileges for students enrolled at other institutions. All of the library materials may be used here in the building.

  • OVERDUE LIBRARY MATERIALS

    Notices are sent when books are overdue. We do not charge fines. However,the third notice is a bill.

    FIRST NOTICE: sent promptly if materials are not returned.

    SECOND NOTICE: mailed fourteen days after the first notice.

    THIRD NOTICE: mailed seven days after the second notice.
    This is a bill for $35.00 per book.

    A copy of the bill is sent to the Business Office. All bills must be paid at the business office, or the material returned to the Library, before students can receive their grades, register for classes, access their transcripts, graduate, or receive their diploma. In addition, materials may not be checked out.

  • INTERLIBRARY LOAN POLICIES

  • POLICIES FOR ACCESS TO ELECTRONIC RESOURCES FROM OFF-CAMPUS

    Certain HELIN online resources (e.g., reference databases, electronic journals) are restricted to the students, faculty and staff of HELIN institutions.

    To gain access to these online resources from remote, off campus locations (using your Internet Service Provider), you must set your browser for HELIN Proxy Services.

    Once you have set your browser for proxy services, you will be prompted for your name and library barcode when you access a restricted online resource. Please contact a Librarian if you need assistance with proxy services.
